We've introduced a new safety system — currently in beta and now live — that automatically detects, blocks, and reports child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and other illegal or non-consensual sexual content created with GiphyFy.
GiphyFy is built for fun. There is no place on it for the abuse or exploitation of others — and absolutely none for the sexual abuse of children. Anyone who tries will be stopped, removed, and reported to the authorities.
A safety system that acts automatically.
Detection runs in the background on content processed through GiphyFy. There is nothing you need to enable — and no warning for those who try to abuse it.
Automated detection
Content is scanned against known CSAM hash databases and abuse-detection models before anything is produced.
Instant blocking
Prohibited material is stopped at the source. The request fails and the content is never generated or shared.
Permanent bans
Accounts involved are immediately and permanently removed — across every server and user installation.
Evidence preservation
Relevant records are securely preserved so investigations can proceed and offenders can be identified.
Reporting to authorities
Confirmed CSAM is reported to law enforcement and child-protection organizations, in line with the law.
Legal action
We cooperate fully with investigators and support the prosecution of those responsible to the fullest extent.

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
Any sexual content involving minors — real, edited, drawn, or AI-generated. There are no exceptions and no context that makes it acceptable.

Non-consensual intimate imagery
Sexual or intimate images of real people shared without consent, including "revenge porn" and sexual deepfakes of identifiable people.

Sexual content used to harass or exploit
Material created to threaten, degrade, blackmail, or sexually harass another person, regardless of whether the people shown are adults.
To be clear: this is about illegal content — not adult content in general
Lawful, consensual material involving adults is not what this policy targets. Sexuality between consenting adults is not the problem. What we act on is content that is illegal: anything involving minors, anything shared without consent, and content made to exploit, threaten, or harass someone.
Where adult content is allowed, it still has to follow the law and the rules of wherever you use it — including Discord's age-restriction and content policies.
What happens next.
There is no grey area. The process is automatic and final.
Blocked
The content is stopped and never created.
Banned
The account is permanently removed.
Reported
Evidence is preserved and reported.
Prosecuted
We support full legal action.
