01 Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GiphyFy Discord bot, this website, GiphyFy Studio, and GiphyFy Studio Pro (together, the "Services"). By adding, installing, or using any of the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
02 The Services
GiphyFy lets you turn Discord messages into GIF screenshots, convert images and videos into GIFs, embed short videos, and edit media in a web-based studio. We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and the Services are provided free of charge.
03 Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by Discord and by the law in your country, whichever is higher. You must also comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines when using the bot.
04 Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to create, process, store, or share any of the following:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualises minors — real, edited, drawn, or AI-generated.
- Non-consensual sexual content, including intimate images shared without consent and sexual deepfakes of real people.
- Content that harasses, threatens, defames, or doxxes another person.
- Unlawful, infringing, malicious, or deceptive content, or content that violates anyone's rights.
You also agree not to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Services, or attempt to bypass their safety systems or rate limits.
We have zero tolerance for CSAM and non-consensual sexual content. Such content is blocked, accounts are permanently banned, and confirmed cases are reported to the authorities. See our Trust & Safety page.
05 Your content & responsibility
You are responsible for the messages, files, and links you submit to GiphyFy and for the GIFs you create with it. You confirm that you have the right to use that content and that doing so does not break the law or these Terms.
You keep all rights you have in your content. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process and deliver it — for example, to read a message, convert a file, or fetch a video — for the purpose of providing the Services to you.
06 Intellectual property
The GiphyFy name, logo, website, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without permission. All third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.
07 Third-party services
The Services rely on third parties — including Discord, video platforms such as TikTok, Google AdSense, Ko-fi, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. See our Privacy Policy for how data is shared.
08 Donations
GiphyFy is free. If you choose to support the project through Ko-fi, donations are voluntary and non-refundable, and do not entitle you to any specific feature, guarantee, or level of service unless we state otherwise.
09 Alpha & beta features
Some features — such as GiphyFy Studio Pro and new safety systems — may be offered as alpha or beta releases. These are provided "as is", may be unstable or incomplete, and can change or be withdrawn at any time without notice.
10 Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output will meet your expectations.
11 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GiphyFy and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or content, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, including for any breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use rules, with or without notice. You may stop using the Services and remove the bot at any time.
13 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.
